At a press briefing, held on Friday, 22 April, 2022, organisers for Housemates Salone, Africa Young Voices (AYV) and Africell announced that the Housemates Salone Season 3 Reality TV Show will officially start on 22nd May, 2022.
Speaking at the briefing, Executive Board Chairman of AYV, Dr.Ezekiel Kalvin Duramany-Lakkoh said a new online voting platform and brand new website have been established for international voters across the world to vote using credit or debit cards, visiting https://housematessl.com and/or visit: https://www.africell.sl.
He also reminded that people can still continue to vote locally with Afrimoney through your Africell line by dialling *161*10#* plus the NUMBER of their favourite contestant from any Africell line.
Dr. Duramany-Lakkoh used the opportunity to announce new sponsors including; A Call To Business (ACTB), Frontline Chicken, Chicken Town, Esme’s Luxury Beddings, Kolat Bricks and Zarlux Car Rental.
He further revealed that a brand new car will be given to the winner of the Zarlux Car Rental task that will be performed by housemates in the House during the course of the show.
Most importantly, Dr. Duramany-Lakkoh informed that it is a very strict requirement for all 60 qualifiers to be physically present in Sierra Leone on or before the show’s starting date (May 22, 2022), adding that all 60 qualifiers will be required to undertake medical tests including Covid-19, and orientation.
However, he cautioned that there is no guarantee that contestants from the Diaspora travelling to Sierra Leone for the Show, will be selected to enter the House, emphasising that travelling to Sierra Leone on or before May 22 is at qualifiers’ own discretion.
He said the fate of contestant is now in the hands of the public voters to select the favourite top contestants who will make it into the House on May 22, 2022.
Speaking on behalf of the new Sponsors, the Chief Executive Officer of A Call To Business (ACTB), David Kamara thanked the organisers of Housemates Salone for given them the opportunity to the show.
He assured that his institutions will do all in their part to ensure that the show is all successful.
Also addressing the press at the event was Daniel Moore, AYV’s Director of Commercials, Marketing and Brands. He spoke on the branding and marketing strategy of the show, thus assuring quality production of the show.
He said it is no secret that AYV Television is the best television station in Sierra Leone when it comes to coverage, super high definition video and picture quality, informing that the show, once commenced, will be shown live on AYV Entertainment Channel 34, 33 and AYV on DSTV Channel 399.
Africell’s Head of Event and Sponsorship, Abdul Aziz Kamara assured professional production of Housemates Salone Season 3. He encouraged more sponsors to come on board noting that the Biggest Reality TV Show in Sierra Leone and one of the biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa is Housemates Salone Reality TV Show.
