Thirteen Presidential Candidates for Sierra Leone’s 2023 elections have completed nominations and officially accredited by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL).
All thirteen candidates have been accepted by the Chief Electoral Commissioner (CEC) and Sierra Leone National Returning Officer, Mohamed K. Konneh pursuant to Sections 43 and 44 of the Public Elections Act, 2022.
The candidates have gone through the nomination together with their runningmates, making them qualified for election for the offices of President and Vice President respectively.
The thirteen endorsed political parties include, the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), the All People’s Congress (APC) Party, the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), the Revolutionary United Front Party (RUFP), the Republic National Independent Party (ReNIP), the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), the National Unity and Reconciliation Party (NURP), the Citizen’s Democratic Party (CDP), the Peace and Liberation Party (PLP), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the United Democratic Movement (UDM) and the United National Peoples Party (UNPP).
