However, to the surprise of residents in Bonthe Island and Sierra Leoneans generally, after the supply was done by the company the Ambulance Boat which cost approximately $315,000 could not effectively serve its purpose as it developed problems within three months of its inception.

Speaking to residents in Bonthe District most of them cast the blame on the supplier, saying that the district did not enjoy the service of the Ambulance Boat as expected of something that costs so much.

The general public and CSOs are now calling on the Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate how this contract was awarded because according to various CSO heads, the supplier cheated the state by supplying a sub-standard Ambulance Boat,

A sea ambulance is supposed to have First Aid kits, built-in fire extinguishers among other safety and emergency gadgets. But it was discovered that apart from the absence of these amenities, the engines were faulty.

The $315,000 boat is currently berthed at the Holland Ship Yard, a company that repairs boats.

When contacted, Rashid Turay CEO of Infinity and Rush Construction Company Ltd. said he did nothing wrong with regard the contract. He added however that the boat’s engine developed problem due to use of wrong engine oil. He added however that that has nothing to do with the company. (https://hhcdropshipping.com)
