She said the vision of the proprietress Mrs Onike King is for her to get a school that will serve a community but because of the success of the school, people are coming all across the city to enrol their kids.
According to her, the school curriculum was not only based on the West African style but that of United Kingdom standard.
The teaching patterns she added are very different and interactive which make the kids feels at ease.
She spoke about the interactive sessions the school have had over the years through donations and other forms of charity from different parts in the city.
Mrs Anthony pointed out that Excel started from Daycare but based on their good and quality education, that is why they started the primary school and they are looking forward for higher education.
Proprietress of Excel Daycare and Academy, Mrs Onike King disclosed that they have children in daycare, nursery and primary.Â
She expressed thanks to God for His protection as the school foundation is built on Jesus because He is the solid rock.
She added that the school has 16 grandaunts in daycare and 19 in reception.Â
She said Excel is doing so much based on education in Sierra Leone. She spoked about the Boys Brigade and the introduction of Red Cross in the school this year.
Richard Hindolo Senesi Guest Speaker of the ceremony, congratulated the school for coming a long way.
He spoke about the need for the school to have their own land and building.  Â
He called on his audience to join the school in the fight for the school to get their land, emphasising that it is something they should not politicized as Excel will move mountain if they are in the right learning environment.
He said he knows how powerful the school is and that they needed what they deserved.
Children staged different performances such as drama, dance performance, singing and a short play.
Presentation of certificates climaxed the first set of the ceremony followed by the fund raising luncheon sale.
