It can be recalled that in the morning of Monday 9th September, the ACC, using what they described as “our new strategy”, matched and positioned three countrymen underneath the Cotton tree in central Freetown for public view and ridicule.
As if that was not enough, the Commission further put the three suspects on handcuff, hanging on them, placards bearing character assassination words printed on them.
Amidst bashing from most corners fired at the ACC boss, the president at State House yesterday stated: “What the ACC did to publicly display principal and teachers allegedly caught in examination malpractice is wrong”, and has apologised to the nation for such action.
But, it is worthy to note that the fight against corruption will still continue and other sectors are continuingly calling on the ACC chief not to relent in chasing thieves of public funds.
