They are facing two count indictments on Conspiracy to Commit a Corruption Offence and Misappropriation of Public Funds, contrary to certain core sections of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act of 2008.
The Charge sheet further indicated that the four indictees conspired together with other persons unknown to misappropriate the sum of sixty million Leones paid as fine after the conviction of Lawyer Shears- Moses, by Hon Justice Miatta M. Samba.
Delivering her ruling on the submissions of both the defense and the prosecution in respect of a no case submission earlier advanced by the respective defense Counsels, whiles the prosecution had prayed that the four indictees have a case to answer to in the light of the tow count indictments.
She told the court that the prosecution was consistent in presenting it argument fairly and the evidence adduced including exhibits with regards to legal issues raised, that were deliberate and intended to hold the four indictees wanting for prosecution.
Hon. Justice Fatmata Bintu Ahladi also ordered the respective Counsels for the defendants to open their case on the next adjourned date.
The State was represented by Barrister Victor T. Biadoma. The matter comes up again today Tuesday 9th July this year.
