The sureties should also surrender their national passports, and the granted bail was to be approved by the Master and Registrar of the court, and moreover, the accused was facing four counts charge of larceny contrary to Section (2) of the larceny act of 1916, and the charge sheet indicated that he stole one Toyota D Truck valued at one hundred million leones, including a Camry Marina vehicle also valued at eighty million leones.
It was also alleged that the accused, Adams Mansaray stole a Toyota Camry vehicle valued at sixty five million leones, one Nissan Pathfinder vehicle valued ninety million leones, and that he allegedly stole the said vehicles on different dates at Hamilton in the Freetown judicial district in the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The vehicles in question were property of Mary Tarawally, but that they were stolen whilst in the custody of Lansana Kamara.
After weighing the strength of submissions made by counsel for the accused, A Daboh and the prosecuting police officer, Inspector Hawa Bah, the magistrate used his unfettered discretion of the bench to grant the accused bail in sum of six hundred million leones, and the above stated bail conditionality.
The matter will be heard again on 3 April 2017.
