The Acting Hon. Chief Justice of Sierra Leone Hon. Justice N. C. Browne-Marke has received four (4) members of the Inns of Court College of Advocacy at his chambers at Law Court Building, Siaka Steven Street in Freetown.
The members Ms Ijeoma Omambala KC, Mr Simon Mallett, Mr. Grahame Aldous KC and HH Simon Davis are in the country to conduct a three (3) day training on advocacy for young lawyers in Sierra Leone. The training will start tomorrow Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th April 2024.
“I’m happy to meet with you for the second time; but I am very much happy that you are now the Hon. Chief Justice”. Retired Judge Simon Davis said.
Responding, the Acting Hon. Chief Justice said the training is timely and will help improve advocacy in Sierra Leone.
“I am very happy that you are always making affirmative contributions towards legal education in Sierra Leone” said Hon. Acting Chief Justice.
The Inns of Court College of Advocacy in collaboration with the UK/SL Pro Bono Network, Sierra Leone Bar Association are the organizers of the training and A4ID, Role UK and UK Aid provided financial and technical support.
