Action Aid capacitates 300 women

The training was aimed at capacitating the women in small scale business. 

Speaking during the training session, Alice James the Northern Regional Manager of Action Aid S/L said the Ebola virus put many Sierra Leoneans out of business.

She pointed out that Kambia district was among the districts most hit by the Ebola outbreak were people many lost their lives and businesses affected adding that statistics show that over 804 individuals where affected across all six chiefdoms in the district that forced Action Aid-Sierra Leone, UNDP and the Japanese government to train 300 women on how develop their businesses.

Some of the participants expressed joy for the training and the financial support from Action aid Sierra Leone while they promise to used the money for its intended purpose.

The support from Action Aid is expected to revitalizes the livelihood of the women in Kambia district.
