The people of Sierra Leone are curious to know the devil behind the recent revelations about toxic waste dumping in our territorial waters. Senior citizens of this nation have received international calls that the information is not a fallacy. If President Koroma’s Agenda for Prosperity should be sustained, this act of an individual or group of individuals should be vigorously pursued to ascertain the fact of the matter. Mind you we eat more fish than meat in this country now.
Another unusual scenario is the just concluded Population and Housing Census. A census is stepping stone for delimitation of constituencies across the country. Statistics Sierra Leone (SSL) should have come out with the exact figures if the exercise was properly done.
Now people are vaguely informed about the increase of constituencies in other districts, while others have been decreased. Is this not intended to manipulate the 2018 presidential and parliamentary elections?
This Agenda for Prosperity needs to be cross checked so that the people of this country would know exactly the direction towards the Agenda for Prosperity. Mind you, the eleven years sad chapter of civil conflict still has some scars in the minds of some victims.
Sierra Leoneans may not want to have another catastrophe which occurred from 1991 to 2002. If the lessons of those ugly years are not enough for the average Sierra Leoneans, I am afraid that all of us will have to share the negative consequences with bitter pills.
