Agric. Ministry Distributes Seeds

The distribution process starts in Bondayila Agricultural Business Centre at Kpetema village, Bumpeh Chiefdom in the Bo district; Southern-Sierra Leone and its well manage by farmers as a business entity. 

The distribution process brought together top staff from the ministry of agriculture, Adviser to the President, Chairman for the Sierra Leone Roads Authority and farmers all inclusive.

Professor Monty Jones said the move is part of the ministry’s plan to boost production and productivity through a more commercialized and mechanized farming practice. The minister assured them of the ministry’s continual support while urging them to put the just acquired seeds into good use.

Farmers present at the ceremony lauded officials of the ministry for making the seed available and on time, while stressing the need for the ministry not to delay in the supply of fertilizers to farmers.
