APC Sympathises with Flood Victims

The Wellington Community is seriously reeling under this flash flood remains challenge as bridges and culverts collapsed and roads are under water. This tragedy has placed additional burdens on the Wellington Community that were already vulnerable.

The APC 2018 presidential candidate Dr Samura Mathew Kamara and his running mate Hon. Chernoh Ramadan Maju Bah, who also happens to be the APC leader in parliament, went to visit the Wellington community in the east end of Freetown that was deeply devastated by the August 15th flash flood.

They went there to see things for themselves, and to sympathized with the grieving families and to be present at the laying out ceremony of the flood affected victims.

This sad flooding tragedy happened on August 15th 2019 when heavy rains took the lives of four people living around the Wellington community.

Responding, Dr. Samura Kamara sympathized with the victims of the disaster and prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear their losses.

He said he was there with his 2018 running mate to assess the level of damage, adding that his personal support and the support of the APC party would reach them shortly.

Hon. Chernoh Ramadan Maju Bah however, advised people residing along waterways, to leave the areas for safety reasons.

Food, water and shelter have been identified as the immediate needs of those affected.
