The portraits on display below are Venus Figurines from the Kangari Hills area in Sierra Leone. They are dated back 45,000 years as confirmed by Radio Carbon dating from the American Laboratory AMS in Seattle. Venuses are the oldest bone artifact in Africa.
All three artifacts are from different caves but from similar materials: Water Buffalo Bones.
They are older than, for example, Venus from Czech Republic (29,000 years old) or from Hohle Fels Germany – which is (35,000 years old).
After more than 70 years they will be on display for a limited time back in national Museum in Sierra Leone.
Venuses were supplied from one Europische Collector and Paleolitic (Stone Age) Arts investor.
