Army Colonel in Sexual Penetration Scam

The accused, Colonel Musa Brima Bangura, 47, is facing one count of Sexual Penetration of a Child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No. 12 of 2012.

Testifying before Magistrate Santigie Bangura, the Police Sergeant recalled Monday, 20^th July, 2018, while on duty at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters, when the accused and a case file from Adonkia Police Station were handed over to him for further investigation.

He told the court that the case file contained an endorsed medical report form and written statement.

He told the court further that on 22^nd August, 2018, together with his colleague, he obtained statement and later charged the accused person to court on 31^st December 2018 with the offence of Sexual Penetration of a Child, contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No. 12 of 2012. The matter continues.
