Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has collected his Voter ID Card from the registration center in Aberdeen where he assured voters of a free, fear and peaceful elections.
During the process, the Hon. Vice President informed journalists about the professionalism of EC-SL since the start of the process which has inspired public confidence in the electoral process.
According to the VP, public confidence in EC-SL and the electoral process is fundamental to a free, fair and peaceful election.
He also stated that government support to the electoral process from the inception is a clear manifestation of our commitment to transparent and peaceful polls.
According to him, a resourceful National Electoral Commission including professional staff, mobility capacity and ultra-modern equipment is vital to delivering a free, fair and peaceful elections because resources and professionalism inspire confidence. “This is what is needed for the public to believe in the process and respect the outcome of the polls”.
He also used the occasion to call on registered voters to come out and collect their ID cards.
In a similar development, the vice president observed Juma prayer in Devile Hole Central Mosque where he promised the people of the respective communities that the Government of President Julius Maada Bio will continue to do more to support their communities including expanding access to electricity.
He said government’s responsibility is to ensure that they deliver development to their people. He narrated government’s development to include water, light, and health care to the people.
He thanked the executive members of the Masjid for the warm receptions accorded him.
