The pronouncement of the indictment was done at the Anti-Corruption Commission quarterly civil society/media updates at Santano House, Howe Street, Freetown on September 21.
Johansen’s indictment came 48 hours after declaring her intention to run for second time ahead of the FA’s much awaited Congress and Elections.
Her complicated reign has been tainted with power struggle that has affected the game locally.
Johansen’s four-year term as President of the Association expired on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
According to the Anti Corruption Commissioner, Ady Macauley, Madam Johansen and Christopher Kamara will face six count charges of abuse of office and public funds, while the remaining four are sealed.
He furthered stated that the Commission has no business with any football politics, urging the public to continue to maintain confidence in the institution.
The ACC Commissioner stressed that every Sierra Leonean has a role to play to stop corruption.
He confirmed that the Commissioned has 43 news cases, 24 of which have been sent to lawyers for legal opinion.
In September 2016, Johansen was arrested for questioning under Operation Thunderbolt” which aims to “rout and bring to justice” people alleged to have been involved in corrupt acts and have been under the watch of the anti-graft agency.
Johansen who is presently out of the country, and Chris are scheduled to appear in court on 30 October 2017.
