Against the above State authority, the newly appointed Chairman launched his first field operation in Freetown. Explaining the purpose of his operation, the Chairman mentioned “The primary purpose of this operation is to take a robust step within the ambit of the Commission`s authority to retrieve, protect and generate revenue for President Julius Maada Bio`s led government to achieve the objective of the New Direction for the good of all”.

The no nonsense and focused Chairman`s first official field operation targeted government properties within west and central Freetown including; 34 Howe Street, Freetown, National Stadium hostel, Bellia Park, Spur loop, and DELCO house. According to the Chairman, certain individuals have for more than ten years either illegally occupied or collected colossal sum of money for these properties. “My commission is firmly braced-up to reclaim all government properties without negotiation. Any individual who may have illegally collected any amount of money and/or acquired government properties will be prosecuted” he maintained.

Mr Moseray further encouraged occupants of any Government property to contact the Commission with their documents for verification and documentation in the Commission`s Master Register. The Chairman warned illegal occupants in their own interest to leave all government properties immediately otherwise the gravity of the law will heavily descend on them without negotiation.

Additionally, the Chairman revealed that reclaiming, registering, protecting and monitoring the use and disposal of government properties including and not limited to real estates, vehicles, plant and machinery, equipment, furniture, stocks, shares, moveable properties is not only limited to Freetown, but every piece of such properties across the geographical boundaries of Sierra Leone and abroad are part of the operation launched.
