President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the AYV Media Empire, Ambassador Anthony Navo (Jnr) spoke of his dream for AYV to lead the media landscape in Africa and beyond, noting that the company is poised to provide the necessary environment in which young voices will be given the prerequisite skills to be future leaders.

Such collaboration, he noted, will add value in the direction of providing the practical environment for university students and create employment.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor and Acting Principal of the University of Sierra Leone, Professor Ekundayo Thompson expressed enthusiasm over the MOU, taking into consideration that the university is not equipped with the facilities to practicalize certain fields of studies, in this instance, mass communication.

He lauded the C.E.O and the board of AYV for such an initiative which will help improve educational capacity for students in the University of Sierra Leone.

The General Manager of AYV, Dr. Victor Suma who is also a lecturer at the Mass Communications Department at AYV spoke of the plans the conglomerate has to expand all over the country. He revealed that the AYV coverage spans the entire western area and most parts of the Northern Province and that modalities are being put in place to reach Makeni, Bo and Kenema.

The program was climaxed with the signing of the MOU which was witnessed by the Chairman of the AYV Board Madam Isha Fofanah Ibrahim, Media Consultant Isaac Massaquoi and representatives of the University of Sierra Leone.
