Belgium Ambassador Bids VP Jalloh Farewell

Ambassador Chantry thanked the Vice President for the reception, and assured the Vice President of promoting the interest of Sierra Leone at the European Union. “Development has to do with private sector, and there is reassurance to see improve development in Sierra Leone” Ambassador Chantry intimated.

Honourable Vice President Jalloh thanked the people of Belgium for the support given to Sierra Leone over the years. He flashbacked on the support the Belgium Government has been given to Sierra Leone through the European Union especially during the Ebola epidemic.  He emphasized Sierra Leone determination to renew its relationship with Belgium and the European Union by strengthening the Sierra Leone Embassy in Belgium.

“Sierra Leone is moving with its development from aid and dependency to economic diplomacy that will bring investments, we want to see new, big multilateral companies coming to invest in the country” Vice President Jalloh stated. He reiterated to the Belgium Ambassador and team that Sierra Leone has a secure and competitive environment for business investment, citing the Socfin Agricultural Company operating in the Pujehun District, Malen Chiefdom as one of the European companies operating in Sierra Leone.
