The Chief Minister was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Conference which commenced yesterday 23rd May, 2019 and expected to end tomorrow 25th May, with the theme: “Democratic Consolidation for Peace and National Cohesion in Sierra Leone” at the Bintumani Conference Hall in Freetown.
Minister Francis went on to say the conference will be fully focused on bringing every Sierra Leonean together to discuss how to build peace and tranquillity in the country.
He said in addition, the conference will also discuss the establishment of a foundation for peace and non-violence conflict; provide opportunity to help prevent conflicts, especially violence conflict; to ensure that never again Sierra Leoneans take arms and ammunition to solve problems; map out strategies how to solve problems internally without relying on international or foreign interventions; strengthen resilience; lay strong foundation for sustainable development and above all, strategies new foundation for a democratic and developed Sierra Leone. He called on all make use of the opportunity to ensure a very successful.
