The teenager frowned at the manner at which victims of sexual abuses are publicly humiliated and blamed by their parents for their ordeals.
This she said leaves most cases unreported and hastily settled. She said other parents ended up forcing their victim children into early marriage to the perpetrators.
A popular business woman in Bo, Aminata Songai who witnessed the celebration agreed with the victim but said the police are to be blamed.
She revealed that they spend longer time looking for evidences before charging such matters to court, thus causing the parents to lose patience and prefer settling the matter at community level.
She said such matters are not to be delayed and in some cases she said the police have failed to charge the matters to court for lack of evidence.
The Spokes Persons for the Sierra Leone Police in Bo, Foday Musa Fofanah said it is professional for them not to charge matters to court without strong evidences.
He said the people are always complaining due to their slowness in understanding the legal aspect of their operations.
Director of Commit and Act, Hannah Bockarie said she has always been heat broken by news of men raping children below ten years.
Ms. Bockarie said she want an emancipated environment for all females, whiles considering this achievable if only law enforcers redouble their steps and sexually abuse cases are no longer compromised.
