Noel the Vice Chair who also doubles as the Manager of the Central Parade FC said he decided to vie for the treasurer position for the upcoming WAFA election because he thinks the association needs a new direction for young people to be motivated.
He also pointed out that the association needs people with financial background and people with integrity so that the organization will be able to attract sponsors. He further stated that (WAFA) it’s an organization that needs change and if he is fortunate to be the treasurer he will see to it that transparency, accountability and financial structures are being put in place and will also ensure project undertaken meets high benefit to all members.
 He further assured the delegates that if voted for as treasurer he will develop football and make WAFA a better association in the country, ‘’I am therefore encouraging all delegates not to vote on favourism but vote for the development of football in Sierra Leone’’ Noel said.

The election which was schedule to take place on 9th of December 2015 in waterloo was put on hold by the seven- man working committee that was appointed by SLFA, and the ministry of sport and approved by FIFA to regularized status co. The election will now take place on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of May 2016, at the Siaka Steven stadium in Freetown.   Â
