Sierra Leone, Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has spoken about growth and delivery, emphasising the empowerment of young people and the promotion of local contents.
In his latest recorded audio message, the Chief Minister noted that many people struggle to believe that Sierra Leoneans, both at home and abroad, can own companies, compete and successfully deliver projects.
He cited Madame Marian Kaikai as an example. She participated in a skill development project initiated by President Bio and has since trained many women in Gara tie-dyeing, fashion, and entrepreneurship.
He also highlighted local construction companies such as Parvi Forte, SEACON, HDF and the Gento Group, which are excelling in building infrastructure and competing internationally with multinational firms, thus creating numerous jobs for Sierra Leoneans.
The Chief Minister further mentioned the achievements of Sierra Leonean youths in ICT, science, innovation, and technology. He explained that this is what President Bio means by “Human Capital Development.”
He urged Sierra Leoneans to engage in entrepreneurship, embrace local content, and support one another to ensure collective delivery.
