CPPCC is a patriotic united front of the Chinese people, although it is not a policy making organ, but stands pivotal as an important organ of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and an important means of promoting socialist democracy in China’s Political activities.
The National Political advisers have been asked to make greater efforts this year to offer suggestions about major tasks to help build the country into a moderately prosperous society in all respects. China’s top political advisory body started its annual session last Sunday afternoon in Beijing, China, raising the curtains on a key session in the country’s political calendar.
Xi Jinxing, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the opening meeting with other leaders. The report was delivered in the presence of over two thousand (2,000) political advisers across China.
Chairman Yang said in line with china’s overall diplomatic agenda, they have engaged themselves in a pragmatic high-level exchange, and enhanced tis with foreign institutions, political organizations, media, think tanks, and influential figures from all social sectors.
He affirmed their efforts to a diversified international interaction in terms of both content and form. China’s stories he said are being told in an engaging way. Stories about Communist Party of China’s governance of China, the zealous Chinese people in the new era, and about the model of political party system and the CPPCC, he noted all geared towards their effort towards building a human community with a shared future.
Chairman Yang stated that this year’s event is hosting foreign diplomatic envoys accounting to about forty-one (41) African Countries and representatives from African Union to experience CPPCC themselves who visited the National Committee and attend forum themselves.
Round table talks by the Chinese and African Economic and Social Councils on the Belt and Road initiative, and the establishment of the Sino-African fiendish group in the National Committee was also meet.
These commitments has also been felt on the international exchange of special committees, and carried out study tours and consultations on various issues, including overseas economic and trade corporation zones, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, regional economic corporation between China and ASEAN, and the China-Europe freight train services among other things all forms part of their multilateral ties with other nations.
Key among the major task of the CPPCC this year according to Wang is to study and implement Xi Jinping thoughts on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era.
