China Plans More Investment in Sierra Leone

The Chinese Ambassador revealed that they will soon attract some Chinese Investors to work on some of the key selective projects on infrastructural development adding that he had met with President Bio and assured him to promote the traditional friendship.

In his brief remarks, Works and Public Assets Minister, Peter Bayuku Konteh said that the Chinese Government over the years has help with the infrastructural development in the country, emphasizing that they have constructed the National Stadium, Youyi building and some of the trunk roads and give great support to the fight against ebola.

Mr Konteh called upon the Ambassador to assist his ministry with the capacity building of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (S.L.R.A) Engineers, equipment and give support in upgrading the Assets data base, pointing out that during the construction of the Limkongwing to Regent, consideration must be giving to the stretch up to Tagoma Chims camp.

The S.L.R.A Board Chairman Joseph Keifala also talked on the agreement of M.O.U signed between the past government on the toll road of Wellington and Masiaka and appealed to the Ambassador to communicate with the Contractor so that it will be revisit whilst the Works and Public Assets Minister Philip Tettehma Tondoneh also come up with the suggestion that the toll monies must be save in a government bank.
