Council of Imams Honor Themne President

Alhaji Issa Catco Kamara informed his audience that the meeting was apolitical and that all he wanted was for them to seek the face of Allah to help them move the interest of Themnes forward.

The United Council of Imams which is representative of all 16 tribes in Sierra Leone registered their support to the Themne Community and noted that a country cannot develop in the absence of unity.

Mohamed Habib Sheriff who is the President of United Council of Imams in Sierra Leone said that leadership is a calling from God and that the Council is willing to work with the Themne Community, adding that their responsibility as spiritual leaders is to guide and pray that God fortify leaders with wisdom to lead their people.

He stressed that all the 16 tribes in Sierra Leone should know that they are one people found in the same land and they should therefore respect their values and uphold and protect all they stand for at all cost. He presented a stack of Islamic books to the President of the Themne Community as a guide to lead his people during his tenure. (Diazepam)
