Deputy Health Minister to attend Infopoverty Seminar in Morocco

The growing global connectivity has been made possible by the wider use of mobile phones and smart phones, internet and computers to eradicate problems and find solutions through these low cost applications to face the challenge of environmental and sustainable development, thereby accelerating the achievement of the sustainable development goals.

According to the preliminary agenda, participants from Sierra Leone, Morocco, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, the UN Headquarter, Italy among others, would be deliberating on key issues which include: Climate Change Impact on food security, the role of World Food Security e-Centre (WFSeC), WFSeC digital services for rural development, and a general debate and Final Declaration.

The Under Secretary of State for Agriculture, Italian Government, His Excellency Giuseppe Castiglione, and the President, Infopoverty Programme at UN, Pierpaolo Saporito are expected to officially open the seminar.
