Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Walminah Oresola Blyden, the great-great-grand-daughter of the famous Father of Pan-Africanism, Reverend Professor Dr. Edward Wilmot Blyden the First, has concluded her visit to the United States of America during which she spent time with her relatives on the United States Virgin Islands.
As part of her maiden visit to her ancestral homeland in the United States, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden was highly celebrated as a Heroine returned home including by the United States Legislative Senate of the Virgin Islands.
Not only was Blyden recognised and honoured by the Senators but she was also given the microphone and in a Live Video broadcast published over Virgin Islands Television, she spoke to the people of the United States Virgin Islands through their Senators.
Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden also took part in the Dollar for Dollar celebrations on St. Thomas Island on September 30th 2023, the FYAH BUN commemorations on St. Croix Island on 1st October 2023, the Eternal Fire Reggae Splash where the festival was interrupted to allow her to dance on the stage for her birthday and the Opening of a Memorial Garden on an old former Slave Plantation by the Orchid Society of St. Croix.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden who holds only ONE nationality of “Sierra Leonean” since she was born to date, has held her Sierra Leone Passport sky-high as a mark of her pride to be a Sierra Leonean.
“I have never been a dual national. I hold only one nationality and that is Sierra Leonean. I am not a 2-SIM,” Dr. Blyden wrote as she raised her Sierra Leone Passport Book containing her U.S. Visa. Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has never been rejected entry into the United States of America and she has never been rejected or deported from any country.
Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden is a globally respected Citizen of the World and she remains to be an iconic pride of Sierra Leone who positively raises the Green, White & Blue at any chance she gets.
