Chairman of the East End Lions Football Club, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. has sent a condolence message mourning with the Port Authority Football Club over the loss of a great football legend, Coach Lamin Bangura.
Chairman Navo Jr, said: “I am saddened by the passing of a great football legend Coach Lamin Bangura of Port Authority FC in a tragic accident on Tuesday as the team was travelling for a match with Kahunla Rangers in Kenema. I wish to express deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, friends, Port Authority FC, and the entire football family.
“Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Our prayers are also with the injured team members. We wish them a speedy recovery. We pray for strength and perseverance during these difficult moments. Coach Lamin Bangura was a truly great man, incredibly devoted to the game and a person of such remarkable sportsmanship, warmth, and kindness. May the gentle soul of the great football champion rest in peace. Ameen.
The Sierra Leone Port Authority football team was involved in a serious road accident along the Konta Line, Mile 91 Highway. The incident has shaken the football community, plunging it into mourning as it grapples with the loss of a beloved figure.
