Ebola returns to Sierra Leone

A twenty-two year old lady died and swab results proved that she died of Ebola.

However, this news came at a time after the lady had been transported from the Kambia district to Tonkolili district.

The corpse was only pronounced Ebola positive after the lady was discharged from hospital and after her relatives had performed normal burial rites including washing of the body before burial.

The school teacher who escorted the 22 years old to Tonkolili is reportedly missing with the circumstances over which the lady was transported to that part of the country remaining unclear.

Dozens of people are already quarantined in a desperate effort to contain the virus, with the government announcing that over one hundred people had come in contact with the deceased.
