Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairman at the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL), Mohamed Kenewui Konneh has been elected President of the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC).
The election took place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast during ECONEC meeting. Prior to his elevation, Mr Konneh had been serving as the second Vice President of ECONEC.
Konneh said: “I am deeply grateful for the collective trust, strong confidence and support of our colleagues for electing me as President of the Network. It is yet another call for selfless service to West Africa and the ECONEC, to which I will passionately devote myself”.
