His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has reminded Sierra Leoneans that election day should be like any other day, whiles encouraging all to go out and vote peacefully.
His Excellency said: “Election Day should be like any other day, go out and vote peacefully and saful, go home saful, wait for the result saful and if you win, celebrate saful, if you lose, be patient saful.
“This should be a peaceful non-violent election, people should be able to leave their houses, go cast their votes and go about their normal businesses without any hindrance”.
Escorted by his wife, the First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio and daughter, President Bio casted his vote at the Hokey Pitch Polling Centre at Wilberforce, where he said the electoral process so far has been quiet and peaceful and smooth.
President Dr. Julius Maada Bio of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is running for a second five-year term.
