His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has revealed in his last night’s national broadcast that the ongoing Treason trials of former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has been suspended for the duration of his absence in Sierra Leone.
President Bio again reassured Sierra Leoneans that the medical bail being granted to former President Koroma whilst facing trial for the failed attempted 26th November, 2023 coup, does not mean he has escape from continuous legal proceedings.
He urged everyone to embrace peace and work with the government to ensure that Sierra Leone revamp its economy.
Bio said: “My government will continue to work with all stakeholders to achieve a sustainable peace which will ensure free flow of private capital investment in Sierra Leone”.
