He called on his successor to go through the road map for Sierratel in 2019 and urged staff of the company to give their fullest to Mr. Foday Sankoh whom he described as a young, dynamic man who can move the company to higher height.
Mr. Foday Sankoh is a seasoned telecoms expert who has a wealth of experience and has worked abroad for over 20 years in the sector.
Mr. Sankoh said that with the support of the government, he would ensure that company becomes more competitive. Mr. Sankoh said “All MDAs should use SIERRATEL network and also our internet facility. We will move forward as we have what it takes to drive the company to a new direction”, he said.
He said his focus since he took over as MD of SIERRATEL is to ensure that the institution, company becomes one of the best service providers in Sierra Leone promising that the company would soon avoid using analogue technology and go digital under his regime. “I am happy to be part of this new team and would change the narrative of Sierratel, Mr. Kallon has done his bit and has taken the company to another height. I will, with your support, take it to a further level in telecommunications”, he said.
