Freetown to overflow with water?

“As a responsible company, we have learned from the past experiences, fortunately for us  the water level this year was two meter higher than last year supply. As a result of this Freetown residents must be assured that they will receive adequate water supply this year, as opposed to the previous years”. Bankole gave an assurance.

The Management of Guma Valley Water Company had embarked on water treatment facility at one of its paramount reservoir, situated at Mile 13 along the Freetown- Peninsular highway.

Guma Valley Head of Treatment Department, Denzil Jackson said the abovementioned reservoir was established in 1964, and it comprised ark and rock fame.

He pointed out that the people of Sierra Leone would be benefiting from pure water supply, adding that his company had three processes, namely; segment clarification, disaffection or sterilization and filtration method to treat water at their reservoirs

He affirmed that they used alum, liquid chlorine and calcium hydro chemical to treat the water for purity and safe drinking purposes.

However, residents across the capital have expressed disaffection on the poor state of water supply, and hoped that much improvement would be realized within the water sector.
