Goodies for King George’s Home Inmates

He stated that the Fourah Bay community and ICNA Relief Canada is on record for promoting national development and assisting under privileged persons not only within the Fourah Bay community, but in other parts of the country.

Alhaji Professor Abdul Babatunde Gibril went on to state that his organization will continue to assist residents at the King George’s Old People’s Home as part of their mandate in promoting and giving a helping hand to their Sierra Leonean compatriots.

Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates at the King George’s Old People’s Home, Hannah Deen in charge of the home, expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation to the Fourah Bay community and ICNA Relief Canada for the donation.

She called on other humanitarian organizations at home and abroad to emulate the good example of the Fourah Bay community and ICNA Relief Canada, adding that the Home is in dire need of social and economic assistance.

The items donated included fifty kilogram bags of rice, two bags of onions, three cartons of tomato paste, five gallon rubber oil, five gallon rubber of palm oil, seven cartons of assorted seasoning, Jumbo Maggi, cartons of laundry soap, bottles of Detol disinfectant, Jago instant drinking chocolate, tooth brushes among other items.

Statements were delivered by other members of the Fourah Bay community and ICNA Relief Canada representatives, assuring the beneficiaries of more support.
