According to the team leader Wulailatu Sannoh the essence for the phase two first time voters’ sensitization was necessary due to the high amount of invalid votes in the March 7th election in order to reduce or halt this trend.

“We will be working till the 26th March because we want to target especially first time voters all over the country,” Wulailatu Sannoh said.

According to Wulailatu, besides Freetown, they will also be visiting the province in the coming days to sensitize first time voters on how they should cast their votes.

She added that, the campaign is timely because of the amount of invalids’ votes the country recorded during the elections and because some votes have forgotten the way they voted in the previous elections.

Balu Kamara a first time voter residing in Funkia commended Heal Salone for the sensitization, saying it is important as some of them could have made mistakes during the voting exercise due to lack of voter education.
