Idris Elba back in Sierra Leone:
…seeking to build Eco City on country’s Sherbro Island
Sierra Leonean British-Born actor, Idris Elba is again visiting Sierra Leone, as part of his mission to build Sierra Leone’s first Eco City on Sherbro Island.
Idris Elba and Siaka Stevens, Co-Founders of Sherbro Alliance Partners (SAP) and Zoisa North-Bond the CEO of Octopus Energy Generation are in the country to make progress on the project.
Octopus Energy- a global energy technology company has entered into a milestone partnership with Sherbro Alliance Partners (SAP), to build Sierra Leone’s first Wind Farm as part of the Sherbro Island City project.
SAP is on a mission to transform Sherbro Island into a vibrant West African Economic Hub and Dynamic Eco-City, where global citizens can live, learn, research, work and play. SAP seeks to establish the world’s first African Dynamic Eco-City, harmonising history, culture, art and internationally accepted sustainability standards.
Speaking on AYV Wake Up Sierra Leone Programme: Idris Elba noted that the Sherbro Island project is progressing very well and that they are investing in Sierra Leone for the long term.
