JOB referred to Bio and his team as: ā€œReckless and distracted group of individuals whose only interest is to bring the party into disrepute.ā€

It can be recalled that both Bio and JOB are aspiring for the SLPP presidential ticket for the 2018 elections in the partyā€™s forthcoming national delegate conference.

JOB further commented on the Pa-O-Pa complainant letter written to PPRC, which he said was signed by Dr. Abass Bundu, Regional Vice Chairman Northern region, Edward Soluku, Regional Vice Chairman South, and other regional executive members.

He said the letter noted the alleged conduct of the chairman and leader of the party during the just concluded sectional and zonal elections within the party.

He told this reporter that the above mentioned member of the party are ā€œlawless and recklessā€, adding that for them to have pointed out in their letter that Chief Kapenā€™s verbal directive to the regional chairman south instructing him not to re-conduct the elections in eight zones in Constituency 067 in Bo district is fake and false.

He said the SLPP referred in the said letter to ā€œRule 21, 22, 23, and 24 of Clause 2 of the Rules and Regulations 2016 which he said gives the RECC authority to investigate all election complaints emanated.

John Oponjo Benjamin said he was part of the electoral process and that everything when on well, therefore, complaining the chairman and leader to the PPRC on issues that were agreed upon by all the parties is lawless.

In this regard, he cautioned members of the SLPP not to be making decisions on issues that will end up ā€œaffecting the general good of the partyā€.

On his part, National Spokesman of the PPRC, Lucien Momoh told this reporter that the Commission has started looking into complaints forwarded by various SLPP members about the conducts of their lower level elections. He assured that the Commission will soon come out with a public statement on the complaints.
