Judge Frowns at State Prosecutor

Hon. Justice John Bosco Allieu made this statement while adjudicating a Murder trial involving Demoh Bangura, Shollay Val Renner and David Sesay on Tuesday 17th April 2018.

The above-named accused persons are charged with the offences of conspiracy to commit a felony to wit murder and murder, and the particulars of the offences indicated all accused persons conspired with other persons unknown to murder Patrick Junior Bangura at his 7k Upper Tengbeh town residence in west end of Freetown, but the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offences charged.

He further urged the state prosecution to redouble its efforts in ensuring that factual and formal witness or witnesses are brought to court for testimony, so as to ensure a speedy trail of the accused persons, including other accused persons  facing trial for murder, robbery with aggravation and other felonious offences.

The first and second accused, Demoh Bangura and Shollay Val Renner were represented by Lawyer Ishmael Philip Mammie and the third accused, David Sesay was represented by lawyer C Taulker from the Legal Aid Board.

Lawyer K Conteh represented the state and Justice John Bosco Allieu ordered that all accused persons be remanded in custody and adjourned the matter to Monday 23rd April 2018.
