The judge expressed discontentment over the absence of the two jurors, stating that that was not the way justice must go, considering the fact that the accused persons were facing very grave criminal offences.
He noted that he would not want to order any warrant of arrest for jurors but urged those present to convey to the absentees that his court was very keen to ensure that all matters before him were adjudicated and expedited in the name of justice and fair play.
The foreman, Yaraba Sesay, later informed the court that the two jurors had telephoned him that they were ill-disposed and could not attend court sittings.
In another engagement, Justice Alusine Sesay, Monday 16 January 2017, granted bail to four accused persons in the sum of Le 40 million each, charged with offences ranging from conspiracy to commit murder and murder, contrary to law.
The presiding  judge insisted that sureties must be residential citizens in the Western Area of  Freetown Judicial District and  must produce national identity cards to get a bail approved by the Assistant Deputy Master and Registrar of the court.
Initially, seven of them were charged to court but that two of the accused had passed away while in remand at the male correctional centre on Pademba Road in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to 6 February 2017.
