The state alleged that the four accused persons murdered Sierra Leone’s first-ever Lieutenant-General Samuel Omar Williams at his Devil Hole residence along the Freetown-Waterloo Highway in the outskirt of Freetown on 27 December 2016.
The charge sheet indicated that one of the accused persons brutally murdered the retired Lieutenant-General Samuel Omar Williams with a shot gun and carted away household properties valued at fifty six million Leones (Le56M).
When the matter came up for hearing on Thursday 2 August 2018, the court could not proceed with the trial, due to the non-appearance of the Defense Counsel for the accused persons, C. Tucker from the Legal Aid Board. Hearing continues on Monday, 13th August, 2018.
