Receiving the cheque, the Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Prof. Aiah Gbakima commended Koidu Limited for supporting the development of education in the country; noting that the fund will be used to develop all educational activities in the Kono District.
He further stated that if the wrong education and trainings are given to students, they will end up administering bad practices in their various fields of work.
On his part, the General Manager of Koidu Limited, Rocco Vermeulen said the gesture is in support of the Free Quality Education as their company believes investing in education will lead to the development of any nation.
The event was climaxed by the presentation of the five hundred million Leone’s cheque to the Minister of Technical and Higher Education.
