While some citizens have attributed this sleeping ‘menace’ to one of the factors responsible for the retrogression of Sierra Leone, others argue that the officials are only humans attending to the natural ‘call of nature’. The latter insists that the sleeping acts caught on camera in no way affects the productivity of the sleeping officials, as according to them, the ‘sleepers’ were not in active duty at the time they were caught sleeping. The former however insist that sleeping on duty and in public places speaks volume of the personality of the individuals.
Others have jokingly commented that the politicians should be allowed to sleep and dream of a prosperous Sierra Leone since the country kept going from bad to worse. Some even say they better sleep than loot. So let them sleep?
But again, were they really sleeping?
