Speaking at the ceremony, wife of Maada, Mrs. Fatima Bio described her husband as a listening man that has sober plans for the development of Sierra Leone.
She listed quality education, better health care and women’s promotion as key amongst Mr. Bio’s presidential agenda once he is elected President of the country at the 2018 elections.
Officially declaring his intention, Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio thanked his supporters for such a large turnout and support. He said when elected President of Sierra Leone, he will focus his leadership on provide free education for all, the creation of job and employment for all with special focus on young people and improving the country’s health system among other things.
The declaration saw thousands of supporters processing the streets of Freetown the rest of the day.
