In her testimony, the victim (name withheld) stated that she was sleeping in her bedroom, when the accused person who she shares the same apartment with sneaked into her bedroom late in the night and attempted to have sex with her.
She explained that the following morning, she informed her mother about the incident, who later accompanied her to the Family Support Unit of the Adonkia Police Station.
The accused person, Joshua Gbantoga was later whisked off to the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road in Freetown
Police Inspector Sahr Karke is prosecuting and Magistrate Abdul Sherriff adjourned the matter to 4 September 2018.  Â
