He further responded that at the conclusion of the interview statement, it was read over and explained to the accused person in Krio, which he accepted to be true and correct and signed the statement in his own hand writing.
The witness denied coercing the accused person, Dauda Sesay to sign his statement and throughout the investigation the police were taking care of the accused whiles he was in custody.
He confirmed that none of the accused person relatives were present when statement was being obtained from him, but was accorded a legal representation.
At this Juncture, the lead state prosecutor, S M Bah informed the court that they still have two more witnesses to testify and would go all out to bring forward their witnesses on the next adjourned date.Â
Justice John Bosco Allieu adjourned the matter to Wednesday 15 November 2017, and further ordered that the accused person be relocated to the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road in Freetown.
