Bah said the toll-free line is an additional support to the situation room project that was launched in 2015 to collect information, pointing out that it has been a remarkable achievement that they are proud to inform the public that their voices would be part of improving the education in the country.

“This latest addition provides an opportunity for all citizens irrespective of where they are, to compliment the efforts made by my ministry and Government to improve the education system in Sierra Leone”, Minkaliu Bah said.

He extended invitation to all Sierra Leoneans to join the ministry in the monitoring of schools, to ensure that issues around pupils’ attendance, teachers’ regularities and punctuality, and the utilization of school supplies and other facilities are addressed with the seriousness they deserve.

“Please call 4060 free from Airtel and Africell mobile networks and report your school related issues and activities as and when you find them and we will ensure that your report is recorded by our trained call centre operators and prompt action will be taken by the community monitors and the District education authorities”, Dr. Minkailu Bah reiterated.

The minister ended by appealing to Sierra Leoneans to utilize the facility judiciously and responsibly for the improvement of the country’s education system, adding that the free hotline is for everyone to report, monitor and make a difference.
