Munda Rogers Remanded for Theft

The first accused person, Musa Munda Rogers is alleged to have committed the said offence on 15th April 2019, at the Lumley roundabout in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, by stealing a hand bag in a stationary vehicle with Registration Number: ALN 567, containing one gold colored mobile phone valued at one million, three hundred and fifty thousand Leones. 

The State also claimed that the first accused person stole one Infinite gold colored mobile phone with SIM valued at two million Leones, two prescription glasses each valued at seven hundred thousand Leones, and two Gusalia wrist watches valued at eight hundred and fifty thousand Leones.

Police further claimed that Musa Munda Rogers carted away twenty different types of vehicle documents, three house conveyances, two different bank documents and fiscal cash of two thousand, five hundred United States dollars, property of Umaru Bah of 22 Regent Road, Lumley in the western part of Freetown.

Police also charged to court the second accused person, Michael Brassy alias Banja for receiving and safe keeping of some of the items stolen by the first accused person, Musa Munda Rogers.

The first accused person, Musa Munda Rogers was later arrested by Sergeant 8704 Turay A.B. on May 15 April this year. Both accused persons have pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP) Aminata Daboh is prosecuting the matter and Magistrate Sahr Kekura adjourned the matter to Wednesday 12th June 2019.
