NGC Questions 8 Districts Elections Results

“Today, given that NEC is yet to announce 25% of the presidential result, the NGC is even more convinced now more than ever that there were widespread irregularities in the March 7th elections,” Tejansie said.

According to Tejansie the tamper-proof bags that were supposed to contain and secure the Result Reconciliations Forms (RRF) were largely tampered with. He added that the result arrived at tally centers across the country in unsecure brown envelops rather than the T-bags.

“We are in possession of large quantity of RRFs because some of these RRFs that were not signed by the party agent were found to be mostly in Pujehun,” he said.

“There are also main instances of over-voting in the Western Area of Freetown, Bombali, Tonkolili, Port Loko, Bo, Kailahun and Kenema and we also have pictorial and video evidence of polling boxes that were left unattended after polling closed,” Tejansie said.

Dr. Dennis Bright, Chairman and Leader of NGC said that the whole nation is looking forward to the very first elections conducted by Sierra Leone for its self after 20 years as it’s an important milestone in the political history of the country.

“We believe that, as a party that campaigned on the platform of change, we are demanding for the benefit of our thousands of supporters that things are done according to the rules,” Bright said.

According to the Chairman the evidence they collected from their supporters and party agents in the field are implicating that even before they saw the results the whole process itself has been discovered to be flawed.
